Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a healthcare system that lays emphasis on all structural and mechanical elements of the body. The bones, muscles and joints together are known as the musculo-skeletal system, and osteopaths are primarily concerned with how this system can function at an optimal pain free level.
Osteopathy is regulated by statute under the Osteopaths act of 1993, this means that by law only people registered with the General Osteopathic council are allowed to call themselves Osteopaths. The General osteopathic council ensures that UK osteopaths are subject to a clear structure of training and supervision. This ensures the highest standard of care for patients.
